Unused 250,000 liters per day ethanol distillery plant. The assets that make up the plant are designed for production of 95,5% dehydrated ethanol. The plant has the capacity to be fed by three different raw materials namely: - Syrup - HTM (High-test molasses) - Molasses C Production areas: 1. Fermentation (Area 1300) 2. Distillation (Area 1400) 3. Evaporation (Area 1500) 4. Dehydration (Area 1600) The process equipment associated with the 1400 and 1600 areas are mainly integrated in 6 skid's (DDSK-01 to DDSK-06), and the process equipment associated with the 1500 areas are mainly integrated in 20 skid's (EVAPSK-01 to EVAPSK20) The plant has a packaged system for Wastewater Treatment (Area 1920). The following systems are not part of the assets of the plant but there are engineering documents as a guide for them: 1. Equipment associated with the storage of raw materials or production. 2. Auxiliary Systems:  Electrical Systems: Distribution, CCM, Lighting  Fire and Fire and Gas  Systems for the production of steam.  Water cooling towers.  CPI System (Cleaning in Place) B. Technology Fermentation: The technology of the fermentation stage responds to the conventional process and equipment through the use of pre-fermentors and fermentors, in which the fermentable sugars are converted into alcohol and carbon dioxide through the activity of yeasts. The production capacity conceives for this stage the implementation of two (2) Preferentes and four (4) Fermenters, however, these equipments are not part of the assets of the plant, but in the documentation there is engineering information of the same . Distillation: The topology of the distillation system is given by the following main equipment: -Column of Mixing -Column of Rectification -Column of Extraction The technology implemented is of the ECOFINE-TVS (Total Vacuum Distillation Plant) type, with which the plant has been designed with maximum thermal integration for the distillation of fermented juice with very low steam consumption. When the column receiving the mixture is empty, it uses a low exhaust steam pressure of at 15 ~ 22 psig which substantially reduces the problems due to incrustation and thermal degradation in said column, ensuring a better separation of impurities as well as a better product quality. Dehydration: The technology for the dehydration process revolves around two main techniques: 1. Azeotropic distillation 2. Dehydration by molecular sieve (MSDH) The dehydration technique of the plant is MSDH (Molecular Sieve Dehydration) type, and the technology implemented in the process equipment is based on modular beds 3A zeolite with pores of 0.3 nm.  The advantages of the units with technology based on the MSDH technique compared to other processes for the dehydration of alcohol, are the high level of product drying, ease of operation, lower energy and operation costs, and lower capital costs. 3. Evaporation: The technology of the evaporation system is based on a first section of flubex type heat exchange "one stage / single effect" to steam, followed by a second section consisting of two trains of four-effect forced circulation evaporators with "Finisher" .
